This tulip didn't look like much at the very first look, but in the end it morphed into the most magnificent one of them all. The flower went from looking slightly timid and rigid, to opening up more and more and becoming this enormous, organic mass of brilliant nuances in pink and orange, towering over everything else. Absolutely beautiful.
