The days are getting longer, the birds are chirping and the crocuses are in bloom. Then spring really starts with the first tulips. Tulips are beautiful and unique. They come in many types and colours. Some tulips bloom as early as March, such as the Serano tulip, and the latter in May, such as the French Rubies long-stemmed tulip mix.
How many types of tulips?
No fewer than 3,000 different types of tulips are grown in the Netherlands. Many breeders bring beautiful and strong new varieties to the market every year. Most tulips are all grown in the Netherlands due to a very suitable climate here and the fertile soil.
We have planted 500 varieties of tulips in our Tulip Store Show Garden. You can visit it for free from early April to mid-May at Loosterweg Zuid 23 in Lisse.
In our webshop we offer a beautiful assortment of 200 different types of tulips and unique tulip mixes that we deliver throughout Europe from September to the end of December. In addition to flower bulbs of exclusive tulips, we also offer flower bulbs of all other spring flowering bulbs.
Which groups of tulips?
All 3,000 varieties of tulips are divided into 14 groups based on origin, shape and flowering time. The most well-known groups of tulips are: the parakeet tulips, the double (peony) tulips, the single tulips and the fringed tulips. There are also tulips that show their beauty for many years, these are the perennial tulips. It is best to plant it in a sunny spot in the garden.

We deliver the flower bulbs to your home from September. Then the right planting time for flower bulbs of spring bloomers also begins. You can plant the flower bulbs from September to the end of December before a possible severe frost. Tulip Store supplies the largest flower bulbs in paper packaging.
