Planting advice and care for ice cream tulip bulbs:
Plant the ice cream tulip bulbs in loose soil 10 cm deep and about 5 cm apart for a beautiful sea of flowers in the spring. You can plant the bulbs from September to December before the frost period with the points facing upwards. Tulips are best planted in a sunny or semi-shaded spot with a trowel or a special bulb planter. Only during extremely dry periods should you give the bulbs some water.
Ice cream tulips are generally not perennial bulbs and are at their best in their first year. Therefore, it is best to remove these tulip bulbs after flowering and plant new ones again in the autumn. Tulip bulbs need a cold period (winter) to bloom. In open ground, they are resistant to all weather conditions. In case of extreme frost, place the tulip bulbs planted in pots in a cold shed.
